Five illegal Gateway Exchanges raided in Hafizabad
Islamabad, January 13, 2015 (PPI-OT): Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) in its ongoing efforts to control grey trafficking unearthed five illegal VoIP gateway exchanges at Hafizabad. According to details, two successful raids against the grey operators were carried out along with FIA team in the different areas of Hafizabad. First raid was carried out at Iqbal Town. An illegal exchange comprising of 2 x 16 Ports were confiscated.
Second raid was conducted at Fawara Chowk, in which illegal exchanges comprising of 3 x 32 Ports were confiscated. The successful raids against the grey operators were made possible because of continuous monitoring, commitment and persistent efforts by PTA in curbing the menace of grey traffic thus curtailing the loss to the national exchequer because of grey traffickers in the country.
