Incarcerated senior leader of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, and other leaders and organizations have urged the members of G-20 to boycott the upcoming event being hosted by fascist Narendra Modi’s BJP government in the UN-recognized disputed territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Shabbir Ahmad Shah in a message sent from New Delhi’s Tihar Jail said that the Modi regime in brazen violation of the UN Security Council resolutions had unilaterally and unlawfully repealed the special status of Occupied Kashmir in 2019. Since then, he said, it has been shamelessly peddling lies to befool the world community about the ground situation in the territory. He hoped that the members of the Group would not allow the Indian government to use this meeting to project its so-called normalcy narrative.
Other APHC leaders and organizations including Javaid Ahmed Mir, Dr Umer Iqbal Shaikh, Devinder Singh Behl, Muhammad Aaqib, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Muslim Conference, Warseen-e-Shuhada and Pir Panchaal Freedom Movement in their separate statements said the Modi government’s aim behind holding the G-20 meeting in IIOJK is to deflect the world’s attention away from the crimes Indian troops are committing against the Kashmiris.
On the other hand, an Indian Army man committed suicide, today, by shooting himself with his service weapon at a military station in Bathinda city of Indian state of Punjab. Four Indian soldiers were killed in a firing incident at the same military station, yesterday.
