German FM underlines need for political dialogue to resolve Kashmir dispute

German Foreign Minister, Annalena Baerbock says her country encourages Pakistan and India to follow the track of United Nations and intensify political dialogue to resolve longstanding Kashmir dispute.

Responding to a question at the joint presser with Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in Berlin, she said every country in the world has a role and responsibility in resolving the conflicts and ensuring peace in the world.

She said Germany intensively supports the engagement of United Nations to find peaceful solutions in the regions and has a role and responsibility to resolve the Kashmir dispute.

Speaking on the occasion, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said Pakistan believes that international law should be implemented and United Nations Security Council’s resolutions should be respected everywhere.

He said unilateral action in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir should be disapproved as people of Jammu and Kashmir have raised their voice consistently for justice.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed the hope that the United Nations will play an appropriate role to resolve the long-standing Kashmir dispute.
