Gilani’s forum discusses latest situation in IHK
Srinagar, December 19, 2012 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the forum patronised by the veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani in its executive council meeting held with its General Secretary, Ghulam Nabi Sumjhi in the chair discussed the latest situation in the territory. The forum spokesman after the meeting while talking to media men in Srinagar said that the meeting expressed serious concern over the electric fencing along the Line of Control.
He said that the participants were of the opinion that India was doing this to sabotage the disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the people of Kashmir were the basic party to the dispute and their inclusion in Pak, India dialogue on Kashmir was imperative for durable settlement of the Kashmir dispute. He said the participants of the meeting also paid rich tributes to the Kashmiri youth killed by Indian troops in Sopore.
The spokesman said that the meeting urged India to give up its rigid and unrealistic approach towards the Kashmir dispute and come forward to resolve the decades-long lingering dispute. The meeting said that India could not suppress the ongoing Kashmir liberation movement through use of brute force and the liberation struggle would be taken to its logical end, despite all odds.
