Government to regularise services of one lakh and five thousand lady health workers

Islamabad, January 16, 2013 (PPI-OT): The government has decided to regularize the services of one lac and five thousand (105000) lady health workers (LHWs) here on Wednesday.

The decision was taken in a meeting of the Cabinet sub-committee on regularization, presided over by Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah, who is also Chairman of the sub-committee.

The provinces and ICT would issue notifications to this effect. The Federal Government would pay salaries to the LHWs and also bear relevant expenses till 2017.

Addressing the meeting, Syed Khurshid Ahmed Shah said the government is committed to provide job opportunities for jobless people in the country.

He said the government is fulfilling its promise to regularize the employees in different organizations.
