Government was providing utmost opportunities to the younger generation for gaining experience in the modern technology: Minister for Information Technology
Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Science and Information Technology (IT), Muhammad Ayub Khan has said that the government was providing utmost opportunities to the younger generation for gaining experience in the modern technology as without adopting the latest technology we cannot stood in a row alongwith the developed nations.
These views he expressed while addressing as chief guest to the awards distribution ceremony among the Information Technology graduates who completed their training, which held here at Excellent Centre with collaboration of Directorate of Information Technology at Peshawar on Thursday.
The function was also addressed by Secretary Science and Information Technology Humayun Khan, MPA and Chairman Standing Committee for Science and IT, Munawar Sultana and Director IT, Bilal Jabbar.
The Provincial Minister said that the government had started the IT Excellence Centre as a pilot project and added that now the government has arranged imparting further training in it which would further be extended from Peshawar to other districts. He said for this purpose, the IT Board has also be constituted.
Muhammad Ayub informed that it was their top priority to impart training to 1500 students under IT Board and added that by the grace of Almighty Allah, training to 5000 IT graduates would be got completed. He said keeping in view the interest of private companies of national and international level and to ensure stability of IT sector, the government has formed an autonomous institution.
The IT Minister said that primarily two I.T Parks would be established in Peshawar and Abbottabad respectively wherein certain facilities would be available to the private companies. On this occasion he also congratulated the male and female students on completion of their trainings and achievement of awards. Earlier, the Provincial Minister distributed awards among the graduates.
