Government will do every possible step for the uplift of deprived segments of society: Akram masih gill
Islamabad: Government will do every possible step for the uplift of deprived segments of society, this was stated by the Minister of State for National Harmony Akram Masih Gill while addressing a “Chrisms Annual Talent Show” organized by the “ICAN”, prominent NGO working for the betterment of poor and needy, specifically belonging to the religious minorities. This NGO is also working on drug addicts, education, health, etc.
Akram Gill said further that present democratic government cannot ignore the major population of the country which is deprived. It is government’s responsibility to provide basic necessities including health, education, livelihood to the unemployed youth. He also hailed the NGO’s efforts in these fields.
Minister of State stated that government has established a new Ministry “National Harmony” which is evidence of its seriousness to bring peace, love and brotherhood among different faiths. This is the need of the hour.
There are many faiths in the country, government want to bring them closer to make the country prosperous and developed. He added that we intent to share happiness with our people as the Christmas ahead. It will be celebrated officially as the other festivals are being celebrated by the Ministry of National Harmony.
President of Pakistan Mr. Asif Ali Zardari and the Prime Minister of Pakistan Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani will also participate to grace the event. Ministry of National Harmony is working on the agenda to establish peace, tolerance, love and harmony as every religion of the world teaches the same characteristics.
