Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan vows to serve masses
Karachi: Sindh Governor Dr. Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan has said he arrived back on the directives of MQM Chief Altaf Hussain to reassume office as Governor so as to serve people.
Talking to media on his arrival at Karachi airport from Dubai, Dr. Ebad said he tendered his resignation and returned on the directives of MQM Chief Altaf Hussain.
Sindh Governor said he would utilize his all potential to serve people of every section of society. He said he would try his level best to serve people like a servant.
The Governor said that he served the masses and arrived back to do so with the love and affection of Altaf Hussain.
He thanked MQM workers, common people and business community.
Dr. Ebad also thanked the President for having talks with MQM chief on this issue.
Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan on late Monday night arrived in Karachi from Dubai in the special plane.
A large number of MQM workers with their leaders and representatives of civil society welcomed Sindh Governor at the airport.
APP reports: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain has asked Dr Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan to resume the office of Sindh Governor as desired by President Asif Ali Zardari.
According to a statement issued by MQM here on Monday, this development took place following telephonic conversation between President Asif Ali Zardari and MQM Chief Altaf Hussain.
It said Altaf Hussain has asked Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan to work in harmony with the federal and provincial governments under the guidance of the President.
The Sindh Governor should ensure his effective contribution towards stability in the province of Sindh and play his role to act as a bridge to build relationship, it added.
(MQM had quit the PPP-led government on June 27, 2011 in centre and Sindh.
Sindh Governor Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad Khan had also tendered his resignation from the office of Governor Sindh.)
