Islamabad:Prime Minister's Special Assistant Huzaifa Rehman has expressed regret over recent statements made by JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman regarding the imposition of Governor's Rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to Radio Pakistan, Huzaifa Rehman addressed a news conference in Islamabad, highlighting concerns over Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman's contradictory stances on counter-terrorism operations, martyrs, and Governor's Rule, which, he stated, do not align with the ground realities.

Rehman emphasized that the imposition of Governor's Rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is intended to restore law and order and establish durable peace across the province. He also criticized the PTI leadership and Sohail Afridi for their non-cooperative attitude towards counter-terrorism operations.
