Federal Minister for Education and Professional Development Rana Tanvir Hussain says the government is taking various steps to bring improvement in education sector.

Addressing the ground-breaking ceremony of Regional Campus of Allama Iqbal Open University in Sheikhupura, he said the government will train the teachers in the first phase.

The Education Minister said the distance education system and online education have become very popular across the world after the Covid-19 pandemic.

He said the government is sending Vice-Chancellor of Allama Iqbal Open University Prof. Dr Zia Ul-Qayyum to Saudi Arabia in the first week of July to review its communication education system in order to further improve Pakistan’s distance education.
