Govt’s Commitment to Railway Passenger Safety: Minister Abbasi

Lodhran: Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi has announced that the government is making extensive efforts to ensure a safe travel experience for railway passengers. Speaking to the media in Lodhran, Abbasi emphasized ongoing initiatives aimed at reforming the railway system to enhance the safety and efficiency of train services.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister highlighted that the Punjab government has earmarked seven billion rupees for the construction of proper railway crossings at previously unmanned points. This move is part of a broader strategy to improve safety measures across the railway network.

Abbasi also revealed plans to strengthen regional connectivity through the establishment of a new railway link. The proposed route will extend from Kohat to Kulachi and further to Mazar-i-Sharif, eventually reaching Uzbekistan. This development is expected to bolster economic ties and facilitate smoother transit across the regions involved.
