Risalpur: A Graduation ceremony for several courses was held at the PAF Academy Asghar Khan in Risalpur today.
According to Radio Pakistan, the courses included the 150th GD (Pilot), 96th Engineering, 106th Air Defence, 26th Admin and Special Duty, 9th Logistics, and 132nd Combat Support. The ceremony marked the completion of training for a total of 139 Aviation Cadets, eight Gentleman Cadets, and two Naval Cadets.
Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza served as the chief guest at the event, with Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu also in attendance. The Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Trophy for the overall best performance in General Service Training was awarded to Aviation Cadet Sports Sergeant Imran Raza. Aviation Cadet Usman Rasheed received the Trophy for the best performance in the Combat Support Course.
Aviation Cadet Sergeant Haseeb Abdul Malik was honored with the Chief of the Air Staff Trophy for his outstanding performance in the Air Defence Cou
rse. Pakistan Naval Cadet Sergeant Hafiz Ali Asad was awarded the prestigious Sword of Honour for his overall excellence at the College of Aeronautical Engineering. The Sword of Honour for the best performance in the College of Flying Training was presented to Aviation Cadet, Academy Under Officer Abdullah Saad Ali.
The chief guest congratulated the graduating cadets and their families during his address. The ceremony featured a breathtaking aerial display by the PAF Academy Aerobatics team “Sherdils.” Additionally, a formation flying display by PAF Mirage, F-16, JF-17, and J-10C fighter jets captivated the audience, showcasing PAF’s professional expertise. The Graduation Parade was attended by high-ranking military and civil dignitaries as well as the families of the graduating cadets.
