Heavy Rains Cause Extensive Damage in North Waziristan

Islamabad: Severe weather conditions on July 4, 2024, have led to significant damage in North Waziristan, with multiple incidents of property destruction and injuries reported due to heavy rainfall. The incidents primarily affected the Tehsil Dossali area, impacting several residences and community structures.

According to Provincial Disaster Management Authority, the damage included destruction of homes and boundary walls in multiple locations within the district. Notably, two individuals, Mst. Gul Dora Bibi and Mst. Bibi, sustained injuries. Specific damages included two rooms and a boundary at the residence of Azam Khan, a room at Sahar Ullah’s home, and boundary walls at the properties of Gulab Zaman and Sakhi Zaman. Tariq Aziz’s residence suffered the loss of three rooms and a boundary wall.

The PDMA is currently assessing the full extent of the damage and coordinating relief efforts to support affected residents and restore the damaged infrastructure.
