Jammu, July 23, 2018 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement Chairman, Mir Shahid Saleem has said that India has crossed all the limits of barbarism and brutalities in Kashmir, and it is high time for the global community to intervene to stop atrocities in the territory.

Mir Shahid Saleem in a statement issued in Jammu criticized the international community for its silence over Indian atrocities in the occupied territory. However, he thanked the United Nations for demanding a fair probe into the gross human rights violations in Kashmir. “We hope that the reaction shown by Indian government to the recently released UN report and its demand for an impartial probe would not deter UN from its duty of safeguarding the human rights of the Kashmiris,” he said.

“The occupation forces are not only targeting people on the streets and in their homes, but even political prisoners inside the jail premises are not safe. Our prisoners are also suffering due to lack of medical facilities and unhealthy and hostile environment inside the jail premises,” he added.
