Srinagar, December 30, 2015 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Muslim Deeni Mahaz (MDM) has condemned the inhuman treatment meted out to the relatives of Kashmiri detainees by the police in Indian state of Rajasthan. The MDM provincial President, Maulana Nisar Ahmad, in a statement issued in Srinagar said that relatives of two Kashmiri detainees, Latif Ahmad Waza and Abdul Ghani Goni, had gone to Rajasthan to meet them, but they were treated in a derogatory way by the police. He described this treatment by the police as humiliation of all Kashmiri Muslims.

“People are being humiliated and oppressed. It is the same tactic that has been followed by oppressive regimes for centuries. These two men are incarcerated in Rajasthan jail for the past two decades during this period they lost many of their kith and kin. These men are braving all these hardships for the Kashmir cause. We salute their steadfastness and pray for their immediate release,” Maulana Nisar added.
