Doha: Minister of Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar participated in the Fareej Festival for Art and Design in Doha at the special invitation of Qatar’s Minister of Culture Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Thani. He congratulated Qatar’s Ministry of Culture and Culture Minister for the arrangements made for the festival.
According to Radio Pakistan, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar emphasized the dedication to preserve and promote Qatar’s cultural heritage, stating that events like the Fareej Festival for Art and Design highlight the significance of cultural exchanges. He noted that Pakistan and Qatar share strong historical, cultural, and religious ties, and the cultural cooperation between the two nations has significantly increased.
Tarar further stated that strengthening cultural ties aligns with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s vision. Such events foster closer relations between nations, enhance mutual respect, and facilitate the exchange of common heritage. He affirmed Pakistan’s Ministry of Cult
ure and National Heritage’s support for initiatives promoting cultural cooperation, which will deepen the friendship and enhance cultural exchanges between Pakistan and Qatar.
Recently, Pakistan and Qatar signed an agreement to promote cooperation in the field of culture. Under this agreement, 132 artifacts have been sent to Qatar to be showcased in the “MANZAR” exhibition. During the festival, Attaullah Tarar also met with the Minister of Culture of Tajikistan, Matlubakhon Sattoriyen, and the Minister of Culture of Iraq, Dr. Ahmad Al-Fakkak Al-Badrani, on the sidelines.
