Info Minister Labels PTI’s Planned Protest as Attempt to Spread Chaos and Instability.

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, has characterized the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) proposed protest as a deliberate maneuver to incite chaos and create instability within the nation. Tarar’s remarks come amid rising tensions and political maneuvering, as PTI prepares for its demonstration.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister expressed concerns over the misuse of public resources, specifically pointing out that the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is allegedly utilizing public funds to support political demonstrations. He highlighted that the Ministry of Interior had proactively issued a letter to the Chief Secretary and Inspector General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, emphasizing that governmental resources must not be diverted for political purposes.

Furthermore, Tarar referenced a ruling from the Islamabad High Court, which has not authorized any protests or sit-ins. He warned that engaging in such activities would be considered illegal. He voiced his appr
ehensions about the implications of PTI’s plans, stating that any attempt to storm Islamabad would be met with zero tolerance and would result in strict legal action against those violating the law.

The Information Minister also criticized PTI for its history of disruptive activities, recalling the 2014 protests that coincided with the Chinese President’s visit, as well as the current protest calls during high-profile foreign visits, including that of Belarusian officials. He questioned the underlying motives of PTI’s protest calls, suggesting that the party aims to secure a National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) for its leader, who is embroiled in multiple legal cases.

Tarar accused PTI of seeking to derail Pakistan’s progress and economic stability, while pursuing an anti-national agenda. He firmly stated that the government would not permit such actions, reiterating its commitment to maintaining order and ensuring the nation’s continued advancement.
