Information Minister conveys deep concerns over the Killing of Saudi Diplomat
Islamabad: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan has conveyed deep condolences to the Saudi Government and the people of Saudi Arabia on behalf of the Government of Pakistan, people of Pakistan and her own over the killing of a Saudi diplomat. The Minister expressed these sentiments while talking to Madam Norah Al-Fayez, the Saudi Minister for General Education who received the Information Minister on her arrival at Riyadh International Airport. The Minister was also welcomed by a large number of PPP workers and the members of Embassy of Pakistan flanked by Acting Charge D Affairs Ayaz Muhammad.
Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the killers of the Saudi diplomat are not only the enemies of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia but also of the Islam. The government of Pakistan is making all out efforts to bring the perpetrators of this heinous crime to book in the quickest possible time. The Minister said that such cowardly act on part of the saboteurs would deter Pakistan and Saudi Arabia from forging and carrying forward the high level of friendship with each other. Both countries enjoy strong bonds based on their common faith and values which is the main binding force between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, she continued.
The Saudi Minister for General Education Madam Norah Al-Fayez reciprocated her sentiments of brotherhood and fraternity between the two brotherly countries. The Information Minister is paying a seven day State visit to Saudi Arabia on the invitation of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
