Chairperson National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Information and Broadcasting Javaria Zafar Aheer says authenticity and credibility is hallmark of Radio Pakistan’s news section since its creation as it has never rebutted its news stories.
In an interview with Radio Pakistan, she said Radio always remained a medium which has a vast outreach and ascendancy on other media sources. She said it is still listened at many places in this era of commercialization and change.
Javeria Aheer said Radio Pakistan has wide-ranging connectivity and adaptability as compared to other media outlets.
She said establishment of new state of the art studios, naming channels after dedicated segments particularly for kids, overseas Pakistanis and English listeners has also given a new look to the national broadcaster.
She said the Radio Pakistan has revamped itself by installation of modern equipment and gadgets during the past one and a half year and improved its standards, which is a matter of honour for all of us.
It has also occupied a significant place on social media today, which is appreciable.
Replying to a question, she said future of Radio Pakistan is quite bright as its different channels are easy to access through simply tuning them by the listeners and it is also an effective medium of information and entertainment.
She said Radio Pakistan attracts our young generation as well because of its easy access which has increased its listening.
The Chairperson National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Information and Broadcasting lauded the entire team of professionals and management of Radio Pakistan particularly Director General Tahir Hassan for his tireless efforts and hardworking in revamping the institution.
She also urged listeners to follow all the channels of Radio Pakistan to get quality information and entertainment and authenticated news.
