Kashmir settlement essential for better Pak, India relations

Srinagar, December 21, 2012 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Political Movement (DPM), Firdous Ahmad Shah has said that resolution of the Kashmir dispute is essential for abiding peace in South Asia and cordial relations between Pakistan and India.

Firdous Ahmed Shah addressing a meeting of his party leaders in Srinagar said, “There cannot be durable friendly relation between India and Pakistan until Kashmir issue is resolved in accordance with the wishes, sentiments and aspirations of Kashmiri people.” He maintained that the Kashmiris would not accept anything less than their inalienable right to self-determination for which the people of Kashmir had offered supreme sacrifices.
