Kashmir settlement through UN resolutions stressed

Srinagar, January 10, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Musaddiq Adil, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Political Front (JKPPF), a constituent of the All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC), has said that Kashmir is a political dispute which can be resolved according to United Nations resolutions through talks. Musaddiq Adil during his mass contact campaign in the Dengiwich area of Baramulla on Thursday said that Pakistan, India and the genuine leadership of the Kashmiri people could settle the dispute through dialogue.

The APHC leader said that Kashmir dispute was the only impediment in the cordial relations between Pakistan and India and its peaceful settlement could bring both the neighbours closer to each other. He said that conducive atmosphere was imperative for tripartite dialogue.

Meanwhile, the senior APHC leader, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, talking to media men during his Jammu visit, said that durable peace in the region was possible only after the amicable resolution of Kashmir dispute. He added that Kashmir was a political and human dispute and could not be suppressed through use of brute force.

He said that martyrs included Muhammad Abdullah Malik, Habibullah, Abdur Rashid Paray, Muhammad Shafee Abbas and Zahoor Ahmad Mir had rendered their lives for a great cause and the people of Kashmir would not allow going waste their sacrifices, against all odds.

On the other hand, APHC leader, Zafar Akbar Butt during his mass contact campaign at Narbal Kausa in Budgam, while paying rich tributes to martyrs said that Kashmir settlement could bring durable peace in the region. He said that liberation movement could not be weakened by arrests and other cruelties.
