Kashmir solution vital for Pak-India cordial relations
Srinagar, June 12, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM), Zafar Akbar Butt has said that the settlement of Kashmir dispute is imperative for improvement in Pak-India relations and establishment of durable peace in the region.
Zafar Akbar Butt addressing a meeting held at the headquarters of Hurriyet Conference in Srinagar to remember the martyrs, said that Kashmir was a political dispute and should be resolved politically in accordance with the Kashmiris’ aspirations.
Zafar Akbar Butt said that the people of Kashmir had rendered unprecedented sacrifices for the Kashmir cause and their sacrifices would not be allowed to go waste, as the liberation movement would be taken to its logical conclusion at all costs.
He appealed to the world community to put pressure on New Delhi to stop massive human rights violations in the occupied territory and settle the Kashmir dispute, once and for all, so that permanent peace could be established in the region.
Meanwhile, the General Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League (JKPFL), Ghulam Ahmad Parray in a statement issued in Srinagar paid glowing tributes to the Kashmiri martyrs including Aashiq Hussain who was recently martyred by Indian troops in Pulwama.
He said that it was result of the martyrs’ sacrifices that Kashmir dispute was being discussed at international level. He said that the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs would definitely bring positive results.
