New Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi’s Chief Minister and prominent opposition figure, was taken back to jail on Sunday following his temporary release for election campaigning. This development occurs amid his ongoing battle against what he terms the dictatorial tendencies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s administration.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Kejriwal was initially detained in March due to a corruption investigation. He was temporarily released to participate in the general elections campaign, with conditions requiring his return to custody after the voting concluded. During his departure speech, Kejriwal expressed a strong resolve to continue his political struggle from behind bars, framing his imprisonment as a duty in the fight against oppressive governance.

Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party has labeled his arrest as part of a political conspiracy by the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) aimed at stifling his dissenting voice.
