Korangi Association of Trade and Industry advises industries to comply with fire and safety regulations

Karachi, September 25, 2012 (PPI-OT): The Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) has advised industries in the Korangi Industrial Area (KIA) to comply with the fire and safety requirements in their respective units in order to avoid any chance of fire hazard.

Following a meeting of Association’s executive committee on Monday at KATI’s premises, the Chairman KATI Ehtesham Uddin has issued a circular to all the members and industrial units to contact KATI in case of any harassment o them by any government functionary even after their compliance to the fire and safety regulations by the government.

He said that an exclusive cell has been established at the KATI in this regard which would also provide advisory to the industries. Earlier, the Patron In-Chief KATI S M Muneer inaugurated the KATI building’s newly constructed 3rd floor by unveiling the plaque. Muneer appreciated the efforts of the executive committee of the KATI particularly Chairman, head of building committee Mian Zahid Hussain who devoted their time in order to achieve the task.
