Islamabad: Mainly dry weather is expected in most parts of the country during the next twelve hours. Cold and partly cloudy conditions are anticipated in the hilly regions. However, there is a possibility of light rain-thunderstorm with light snow over high mountains at isolated places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan. Day temperatures are likely to remain above normal in plain areas. According to Radio Pakistan, temperatures recorded this morning in major cities include Islamabad at fifteen degrees centigrade, Lahore and Karachi at twenty-two, Peshawar at seventeen, Quetta at fourteen, and both Gilgit and Muzaffarabad at thirteen degrees centigrade, with Murree at ten degrees. The weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir indicates cold and partly cloudy weather in Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramula, while Jammu is expected to remain dry. Morning temperatures recorded in these areas were Srinagar, Shopian, and Baramula at eight degrees centigrade, Jammu at sixteen, Leh at minus-six, and both Pulwama and Anantnag at seven degrees centigrade.
