Memorandum of Understanding issues cheques for affected city wardens

Karachi, July 11, 2012 (PPI-OT): Acting KMC Administrator Matanat Ali Khan said that the people who became victim of tragic incident while doing their duty were in fact martyred whose services would never be forgotten.

He said this while giving away cheque of Rs5 million to widow of late city warden Muhammad Waseem and Rs1 million each to Saeed and Amir who got injured in a traffic accident near Matric board office on 30th January.

On this occasion Senior Director Municipal Services Dr. Shaukat Zaman, Chief City Warden Tehseen-ur-Rehman and other officers were present.

Following the directives of Administrator Karachi Muhammad Hussain Syed KMC had paid the expenses incurred on their medical treatment.

Acting Administrator KMC Matanat Ali Khan assured the widow of late Waseem that she would get the appointment letter of her job in KMC within a week.

He said that city wardens perform their duties on city corridors besides helping traffic police in controlling traffic on busy roundabouts and providing help in emergency conditions.
