Minister chairs meeting of Pakistan Housing Authority
Islamabad, February 07, 2013 (PPI-OT): Federal Minister for Housing, Sardar Talib Hassan Nakai chaired the 7th Board of Directors meeting of Pakistan Housing Authority (PHA) here on Tuesday.
The Minister expressed his deep concern regarding the delay of development work in all seven projects of PHA and directed the concerned officials to speed up pace of work so that after completion these projects should be handed over to the allottees.
Joint Secretary, Amna Imran informed the meeting that 50 % work on Kurri Road project will be completed within next two months.
The Director General Housing Foundation, Talat Rasheed Mian presented an inquiry report which he prepared in compliance with NAB directions regarding irregularities of allotments in PHA flats. The Minister approved the report.
DG PWD, Shah Deen Sheikh presented a separate report on the overpayments of PHA projects made during previous years.
Asim Ayub, Director Administration PHA, briefed the meeting about project of Wafaqi Colony Lahore which the Minister appreciated and directed to start it at the earliest so that the aim of Housing Ministry to provide low cost housing facilities to the masses may be accomplished.
The meeting was attended by Secretary Housing Nasar Hayat, Joint Secretary Amna Imran, DG Housing Foundation Talat Raseed Mian, Financial Advisor Rao Liaqat, DG PWD Shah Deen Sheikh, Joint Engineering Advisor Faqeer Muhammad, PHA Director Administration Asim Ayub, Deputy Secretary Administration Auranzeb Haral and other officials of the ministry.
