Minister for Housing to See National Construction Limited at Par with Multinational Construction Companies
Islamabad: The Federal Minister for Housing and Works emphasized upon to see NCL at par with multinational giant construction companies. He urged NCL, an attached organization of the Housing Ministry to achieve the high status and good repute while chairing a meeting of NCL.
The meeting was attended by number of senior engineers, architects and designers of the NCL. Sr. Joint Secretary Mr. M.B. Awan and Several other officers of the Ministry were also present at the occasion.
The Federal Minister was thoroughly briefed about the ongoing projects of NCL. The Minister showed special interest in the up-gradation of the organization. He urged them to develop corporate-style working environment while fully concentrating on capacity building. He added that there were no reasons at all that NCL could make abreast with other giant multinational construction companies.
The Federal Minister strongly desired that NCL, at present, must compete to grab as many as conveniently possible construction projects, not only at the national but also at international level. For this to achieve, the Federal Minister ensured his full support to NCL, being an attached department of the Housing Ministry.
The Managing Director, NCL apprised the Housing Minister of challenges and growth prospects of NCL. Federal Minister ensured NCL of every possible help and facilitation to make NCL cope with the challenging market of construction sector.
“Housing Ministry is the parent Ministry and we would definitely want to see its all subsidiaries including NCL to demonstrate optimal performance”, the Minister concluded.
