Islamabad:The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has clarified that no roads have been blocked in Islamabad.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Ministry’s Fact Check indicated that containers have been strategically placed as a precautionary measure in accordance with directions from the Islamabad High Court. This action aims to protect citizens’ safety, property, and ensure lawful movement.
These security measures are intended to protect public infrastructure and sensitive sites, considering past instances of violence. The Ministry criticized Al Jazeera for allegedly portraying these measures as “road blockades,” asserting that such reporting ignores the fact that all roads remain open and misrepresents the State’s efforts to maintain public order.
The Ministry further stated that such reporting by Al Jazeera is misleading and creates a negative impression, emphasizing that this portrayal cannot replace the actual facts.
