Monsoon Rains Likely to Continue during the Week

Islamabad, July 23, 2018 (PPI-OT): Met Office informed that the monsoon currents are continuously penetrating upper and central parts of the country and likely to continue in coming days. Another westerly wave is also likely to influence the upper parts of the country from Thursday. Under the influence of these weather systems;

Rain-thundershowers with gusty winds is expected at scattered places in Malakand, Hazara, Mardan, Peshawar, Kohat, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha divisions, Islamabad and Kashmir.

Moderate rain-thundershowers are also expected at isolated places in KP ( Bannu, D.I. Khan divisions), Punjab ( Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Multan, D.G.Khan and Bahawalpur divisions), Balochistan (Zhob and Kalat divisions) and Gilgit-Baltistan till Sunday.

Isolated heavy falls are also expected in Hazara, Malakand, Mardan, Peshawar, Kohat, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala and Lahore divisions, Islamabad and Kashmir during Thursday –Saturday.
