Minister for Law Azam Nazeer Tarar has said the government has taken necessary measures to check the spread of Mpox. Responding to a calling attention notice in the Senate he said five cases of Mpox have so far been detected in the country. The Minister said screening system has been operationalized at airports besides testing kits have been made available. Earlier, the Senate today passed four bills. These included: The Apostille Bill, 2024, The Privatization Commission (Amendment) Bill, 2024, The Establishment of Telecommunication Appellate Tribunal Bill, 2024, and The Peaceful Assembly and Public Order Bill, 2024. The chair referred The Cannabis Control and Regulatory Authority Bill, 2024 to the Standing Committee concerned. The House adjourned to meet tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. Source: Radio Pakistan
