Mushaal Mullick Urges International Intervention for Yasin Malik’s Release from Indian Jail.

Islamabad: The wife of renowned Kashmiri leader Yasin Malik and Chairperson of the Peace and Culture Organization, Mushaal Hussein Mullick, has issued a renewed call for the international community, particularly the United Nations, to intervene and secure the release of her husband from an Indian prison. This appeal was made during a press conference held in Islamabad, where she was accompanied by her twelve-year-old daughter, Raziyah Sultana.

According to Radio Pakistan, Mushaal Mullick highlighted the deteriorating health condition of Yasin Malik, who has embarked on an indefinite hunger strike in protest against the harsh treatment, unlawful detention, and lack of legal or medical care he is receiving in jail. She urged global human rights organizations to address the widespread human rights violations committed by Indian authorities in the Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir.

Mushaal Mullick emphasized the need for the international community to hold India accountable for its egregious human rights ab
uses in the region. She revealed that she had written letters to the United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, seeking their immediate intervention to prevent what she termed as the “judicial murder” of Yasin Malik.

Highlighting the dire conditions faced by her husband, Mushaal Mullick described the unsanitary environment in which he is held and the denial of appropriate medical care. She appealed to the international community to work towards a resolution of the longstanding Kashmir dispute, in line with United Nations resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
