NA Speaker Emphasizes Strengthening Pakistan-Malaysia Parliamentary Relations

Islamabad: A six-member Malaysian parliamentary delegation, led by Malaysian Minister of Home Affairs Saifuddin Nasution bin Ismail, called on National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq at Parliament House in Islamabad today. The Speaker highlighted the importance of enhancing parliamentary cooperation between Pakistan and Malaysia, noting that increased exchanges and interactions between the two parliaments would contribute to strengthening bilateral relations.

According to Radio Pakistan, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq emphasized that parliamentary friendship groups could play a crucial role in fostering contacts and cooperation among parliamentarians from both countries. These groups are seen as vital in promoting mutual understanding and collaboration on various legislative matters.

During the meeting, the Malaysian Minister of Home Affairs expressed appreciation for Pakistan's significant role in promoting peace and diplomacy amidst recent tensions between Iran and the United States. He acknowledged Pakistan's diplomatic efforts in fostering regional peace, underscoring the importance of continued collaboration between the two countries in international affairs.
