Naga Army Reportedly Targeted in Coordinated Attack by Kuki National Army and Indian Forces

Ukhrul, The National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN) has reported a coordinated attack on the Naga Army by the Kuki National Army (KNA) and Indian forces in the region bordering Myanmar. This alleged military action has heightened tensions and raised concerns among the local population regarding their safety and the intentions of the involved forces.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the Ministry of Information and Publicity of the People’s Republic of Nagalim issued a statement detailing the recent events. The NSCN expressed serious concerns over the actions of the Assam Rifles and the Para Regiment, which are tasked with guarding the sensitive Indo-Myanmar border in the Kamjong district. The statement accuses these forces of allowing the Kuki groups relatively unfettered access across the border while imposing restrictions on other groups, leading to accusations of discrimination.

Furthermore, the NSCN alleges that there is a free flow of weapons and ammunition into Myanmar, benefitting the KNA(B), which operates under the banner of the Democratic Alliance Army against the Myanmar junta. This movement of arms is purportedly supported and facilitated by the Indian forces, as per the NSCN.

The statement also claims that Indian forces are involved in clandestine operations with the KNA(B), specifically targeting the Naga Army and Meitei revolutionaries who are part of the Western Southeast Asia (WeSEA) alliance. These developments have not only exacerbated the security situation but also added a layer of complexity to the ongoing conflicts in the region.
