SEPRA to be fully authorized organization: Nasir Shah

Sindh Minister for Energy Syed Nasir Hussain Shah has said that the Sindh Electric Power Regulatory Authority will be a fully authorized organization in terms of power generation, distribution and transmission in the province.

This he said while presiding over an awareness meeting regarding the legislation of SEPRA in Karachi.

He said the purpose of forming SEPRA is to provide low cost electricity to the consumers in the province.

Earlier, the energy secretary briefed the meeting in detail on the legislation of the SEPRA.

FC Balochistan makes library functional in Kharan

FC Balochistan (South) has made a library functional for locals in Kharan area of the province.

The restoration work of the library included repair and maintenance of the building, its renovation, and provision of necessary furniture and books on different subjects. Currently, around fourteen hundred books are available in library.

FC Balochistan (South) highlighted the importance of the library for students and locals and also encouraged them to get maximum utilization from the project.

FC North organizes visit to Girls Cadet College Mardan for students of Bajaur

Frontier Corps North organized a visit to Girls Cadet College Mardan for the students of Bajaur district.

The purpose of the visit was to introduce the students of tribal areas about cadet colleges and the importance of girls’ education.

On this occasion, a detailed briefing was given to the students about the Cadet College.

The students visited the facilities in the Cadet College and spent time with the girl cadets in the classrooms.

Eid-ul-Azha: Punjab bans burning of animal heads, trotters at public places

Punjab government has imposed Section 144 to prohibit burning of animal heads and trotters at public places during Eid-ul-Azha across the province.

According to a spokesperson of provincial Home Department, it is also forbidden to dispose of the offals of sacrificial animals in manholes, drainage systems, or canals.

Additionally, banned organizations are not permitted to collect sacrificial animal hides.

Punjab Home Department has established a control room to monitor compliance of the process.

Sindh Govt prohibits forceful collection of sacrificial animals’ hides

Sindh government has banned the forceful collection of hides of sacrificial animals during Eid-ul-Azha.

According to a notification issued by the home department in Karachi, the hides could only be collected with permission of the commissioner and the deputy commissioner concerned.

A ban has also been imposed on setting up camps to collect the hides and the use of banners for such purposes.

Only registered charitable organizations, Madaris and philanthropic organizations are permitted to collect hides of sacrificial animals.

Punjab CM pledges equal access to services for all

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif expressed commitment of ensuring equal access to services for every citizen.

She stated this during a meeting with Provincial Ombudsman Major (R) Sulaiman Khan in Lahore.

During the meeting, matters related to administration, good governance, public grievances and redressal mechanisms related to government departments were discussed.

The Provincial Ombudsman presented the annual report to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and also informed about the steps taken to resolve public complaints and disputes.

11 terrorists killed in Lakki Marwat IBO

Eleven terrorists were killed during an intelligence based operation in Lakki Marwat district.

According to the ISPR, multiple terrorist hideouts were also busted.

The intelligence based operation was in response to the recent Improvised Explosive Device explosion that claimed the lives of seven brave soldiers including Captain Muhammad Faraz Ilyas and Subedar Major Muhammad Nazir.

Sanitization operation is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorist in the area.

In its statement, the ISPR reaffirmed the determination to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has lauded the security forces for killing eleven militants during an effective action against terrorists in Lakki Marwat district.

In a statement today, he said the valiant members of Pakistan’s security forces conducted a successful operation against terrorists by putting their lives at stake.

The Prime Minister said security forces have always been proved as an iron wall in the war against terr
orism. He said the entire nation is standing with the security forces in war against terrorism.

Shehbaz Sharif also presented tribute to martyrs and veterans of the Pakistan Army. He said we are committed for complete elimination of terrorism.
