Naseerabad: Deputy Commissioner Munir Ahmed Khan Kakar emphasized the harmful impact of early marriages on young girls, advocating for an end to this practice in line with Islamic teachings and the rights of children during a seminar on early marriage.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the seminar, organized by ISD Head Fida Hussain Magsi, featured various stakeholders including UNICEF’s Bashir Ahmed Lahri and Deputy District Education Officer Khanzadi Baloch. Participants, many carrying placards and banners, gathered to discuss the detriments of early marriage and the necessity of prioritizing education for girls to secure their futures. Deputy Commissioner Kakar stressed the importance of societal change over adherence to damaging customs, calling for community-wide support in safeguarding young girls by stopping premature marriages within the district.
