Islamabad: Addressing the urgency of resolving longstanding regional conflicts, National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq stated on Thursday that without settling the issues of Jammu and Kashmir and Palestine, global peace cannot be fully realized.
According to Kashmir Media Service, in a message marking United Nations Day, Speaker Sadiq emphasized the United Nations’ pivotal role in promoting global peace, development, and human rights since 1945. He voiced Pakistan’s steadfast support for the UN Charter and highlighted the country’s active participation and historical contributions to the organization’s peacekeeping efforts.
Sadiq pointed out that despite the UN’s numerous achievements over the past 79 years, the unresolved situations in Jammu and Kashmir and Palestine continue to pose significant barriers to world peace. He remarked, “Without resolving these issues, the dream of global peace remains incomplete.”
The Speaker also urged for a united global effort to address these and other international challenges, reaffirming Pakistan’s dedication to collaborating with the international community towards sustainable peace and development.
