National Intellectual Property Organization Best Journalist Award announced
Islamabad: Chairman Intellectual Property Organization (IPO-Pakistan) Hameedullah Jan Afridi has announced National IPO Best Journalist Award for dedicated media projection of IPO related activities besides creating awareness about Intellectual Property Rights in the country.
He announced this in a meeting while reviewing the details of IPO Best Journalist programme. The meeting was attended by the Director Administration Meesaq Arif, Director Finance Inam ul Hal, Deputy Director (Media) Hamid Javaid Awan, Assistant Director Human Resource Asif Iqbal Bangash and other concerned officers.
Hameed Ullah Jan Afridi said that media can play vital role for dissemination of knowledge and useful information to the people and in order to encourage and promote media activities annual best journalist award has been introduced. He said that award ceremony would be held on the eve of World IP Day and Prime Minister of Pakistan would distribute cash prizes and awards to the winners. He further informed that a committee would be constituted to finalize the names of winning contestants on account of their contributions.
Chairman IPO Pakistan lauded the support of print and electronic media to aware the masses about the working of IPO and said that objective would be achieved with coordinated efforts to safeguard IPR’s in the country.
Mr. Meesaq Arif told that various categories have been identified for nomination of award winners and the qualifying candidates would be finalized after analyzing their contributions.
