Srinagar, January 26, 2016 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference (G) leader, Nayeem Ahmed Khan, has said that the people of Kashmir are rendering sacrifices for resolution of the Kashmir dispute. Nayeem Ahmed Khan in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “One lakh Kashmiris have been killed since last two and a half decades and 8,000 subjected to custodial disappearance.”

He urged India to take steps for settlement of the Kashmir dispute if it wanted to play any role at the global level and enjoy permanent membership of the UN Security Council. Nayeem Khan also paid rich tributes to the martyrs of Handwara who were killed on January 25, 1990. “A protest march was taken out in Handwara town against the January 21 Gaw Kadal massacre. When the procession reached near police station Handwara, Indian Border Security Force personnel resorted to indiscriminate firing killing dozens of unarmed protesters,” he said.
