Lahore: Under the special directive of the Prime Minister, the National Disaster Management Authority is actively and continuously monitoring relief operations in flood-affected regions. In line with this initiative, NDMA Chairman Lieutenant General Inam Haider Malik visited several flood-stricken areas in Punjab to assess the extent of damage and review ongoing relief efforts.
According to Radio Pakistan, during the visit, the Chairman inspected relief camps, medical facilities, and tent settlements established to support displaced communities. He assured flood victims of sustained assistance and rehabilitation efforts, and directed all relevant departments to ensure the uninterrupted provision of essential supplies and services in the tent settlements.
NDMA is also guiding all concerned agencies, including welfare organizations and philanthropists, to effectively contribute to relief operations in the affected districts. The Authority remains in constant coordination with all stakeholders to guarantee the timely delivery of aid based on the evolving needs of the impacted areas.
