Islamabad: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a warning for thunderstorms and snowfall expected to hit various parts of the country within the next twenty-four hours. Citizens have been advised to take necessary precautions as a westerly weather system is predicted to bring strong winds, dust storms, and additional rainfall. According to Radio Pakistan, the alert from NDMA indicates that the weather system will sweep across most parts of the country within the next 12 to 24 hours. Residents are urged to avoid unnecessary travel and exercise caution while driving. The public is also advised to closely follow official weather advisories to ensure safety. The temperature recorded in major cities this morning was as follows: Islamabad and Quetta at seventeen degrees centigrade, Muzafarabad at fifteen, Lahore at twenty, Karachi at twenty-five, Peshawar and Gilgit at eighteen, and Murree at six degrees centigrade. In addition, the weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir predicts cloudy weather with the possibility of rain and thunderstorms in areas such as Srinagar, Jammu, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramula. The temperatures recorded this morning in these areas include Srinagar, Pulwama, Baramula, and Anantnag at nine degrees centigrade, Jammu at nineteen, Leh at minus one, and Shopian at eight degrees centigrade.
