Lahore: Over forty-four villages have been affected due to floods in Ravi, Sutlej and Chenab Rivers, as reported by the Punjab Disaster Management Authority.
According to Radio Pakistan, Provincial Relief Commissioner Nabeel Javed has stated that approximately 2.19 million people from the flood-hit areas have been relocated to safer places. This mass relocation underscores the severity of the flooding and the urgent need for continued relief efforts.
Meanwhile, in Karachi, the district administration along with Rescue 1122 teams have successfully rescued 350 trapped citizens from low-lying areas, moving them to safety. The Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah, also conducted a visit to various parts of Karachi to oversee the ongoing rescue operations, ensuring that efforts are being made efficiently to protect the affected residents.
