Overseas Pakistanis Convention to Start in Islamabad Today

Islamabad: The first annual Overseas Pakistanis Convention is set to begin in Islamabad today, marking a significant event aimed at recognizing the contributions of overseas Pakistanis to the national economy. The government has extended the privilege of state guest status to overseas Pakistanis attending the convention.

According to Radio Pakistan, the convention will serve as a platform bringing together overseas Pakistanis, government representatives, and national institutions. To facilitate this gathering, help desks from various government departments have been established to offer information, guidance, and services to overseas Pakistanis in one centralized location.

In a video message, Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Chaudhry Salik Hussain expressed the government’s commitment to the welfare of overseas Pakistanis and resolving their issues. He highlighted the significance of organizing the convention for the first time and emphasized that the opinions and suggestions of Pakistanis living abroad will be welcomed.

Minister of State for Overseas Pakistanis, Awn Chaudhry, also acknowledged the contributions of overseas Pakistanis to Pakistan’s economy, remarking that the hearts of overseas Pakistanis beat for Pakistan.
