Pakistan and Lebanon Urge Immediate Regional De-escalation and Peace

Islamabad: Pakistan and Lebanon have agreed on the necessity for regional de-escalation and the prompt restoration of peace. This consensus was reached during a telephonic conversation between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan and his Lebanese counterpart, Nawaf Salam.

According to Radio Pakistan, the two leaders discussed the recent escalation in the region, particularly in light of Israel's attacks on Iran and the subsequent retaliatory strikes on neighboring Gulf countries. During their discussion, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned Israel's actions against Lebanon, expressing deep condolences for the lives lost due to these attacks. He reaffirmed Pakistan's solidarity with the Lebanese people.

Prime Minister Sharif highlighted the longstanding ties between Pakistan and Lebanon and assured the Lebanese leadership of Pakistan's unwavering support for Lebanon's sovereignty and territorial integrity. He also offered to play a constructive role in peace efforts in the region.

Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Pakistani people for their solidarity during this challenging time.
