Pakistan and Rwanda Agree to Enhance Cooperation in Gender Equality

Islamabad: Pakistan and Rwanda have agreed to promote cooperation in gender equality and women empowerment. The consensus to this effect was reached during a meeting between High Commissioner of Rwanda to Pakistan Ms. Fatou Harerimana and Minister for Human Rights Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, during the meeting, both sides welcomed the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the two countries in Kigali. This agreement covers joint initiatives, exchange programs, and capacity-building efforts aimed at advancing gender equality and empowering women across both nations.

The High Commissioner appreciated the Government of Pakistan's efforts in advancing gender equality, protection of women and children, and various initiatives undertaken to promote human rights and social protection. The collaboration signifies a significant step forward in strengthening bilateral relations and fostering a shared commitment to gender parity and human rights.
