Pakistan and Thailand Commit to Enhanced Cooperation in Key Areas

New york: Pakistan and Thailand have reached a consensus to expand their cooperation across various sectors, including food security, fisheries, defense, and regional connectivity. This agreement was formed during a meeting between Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Thailand’s Foreign Minister Maris Sangiampongsa.

According to Radio Pakistan, the leaders expressed their satisfaction with the current positive momentum in bilateral relations, highlighting areas such as cultural and parliamentary exchanges, people-to-people contacts, trade, and tourism as significant achievements. Both parties shared their perspectives on regional and international issues of mutual interest, emphasizing the importance of collaboration.

The discussions also touched upon partnerships within multilateral forums, particularly at the United Nations. The Thai Foreign Minister extended his congratulations to Pakistan on its presidency of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) and acknowledged its valuable contributions to the Council’s efforts.
