Islamabad: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi chaired a meeting today to finalize security preparations for the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s (SCO) Heads of Government meeting scheduled to be held in Islamabad this month.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the meeting approved an action plan designed to ensure foolproof security for the summit. Naqvi announced that additional personnel from the Pakistan Army, Rangers, Frontier Corps, and Punjab Police would be deployed to maintain security during the conference.
The Interior Minister emphasized the significance and honor of hosting the SCO summit, noting that several heads of state are expected to attend the event. The comprehensive security measures reflect Pakistan’s commitment to ensuring a safe and successful international gathering.
