New york: At the UN, Pakistan has expressed concerns over the protracted conflict in Yemen, particularly on the recent turn of events and resurgence of violence. According to Radio Pakistan, at the UN Security Council Briefing on Yemen, Pakistan's Permanent Representative to the UN Asim Iftikhar Ahmad reaffirmed Pakistan's firm commitment to the unity, sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of Yemen. The Ambassador welcomed regional efforts aimed at fostering an environment conducive to dialogue and reconciliation.
