Pakistan Government Cuts Petrol and Diesel Prices

Islamabad, In a recent move aimed at economic relief, the Pakistani government has announced a reduction in the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel. The change comes as part of the government’s ongoing adjustments to fuel costs in response to global oil price fluctuations and domestic economic considerations.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the price of petrol has been decreased by Rs 4.74 per liter, bringing it down to Rs 268.36 per liter. Similarly, the price of high-speed diesel has been cut by Rs 3.86 per liter, setting the new price at Rs 270.22 per liter. These revised prices are effective from today and will remain in place for the next fortnight, reflecting the government’s commitment to pass on any reductions in international oil prices to consumers.

This price adjustment is part of broader economic measures the government is taking to manage inflation and stimulate economic growth amidst global economic challenges.
