Pakistan Industrial and Traders Association Front would leave no stone unturned to resolve business community’s issues

Lahore, July 16, 2012 (PPI-OT): Pakistan Industrial and Traders Association Front (PIAF) would leave no stone unturned to get the issues solved being faced by the business community.

This was stated by the Chairman PIAF Engr. Sohail Lashari while speaking at a reception hosted by the trade association of Shahalam Market in honor of the Chairman PIAF Engr Sohail Lashari and LCCI president Irfan Qaiser Sheikh.

Former LCCI Presidents Mian Anjum Nisar, former Senior Vice President Sheikh Muhammad Rashad, Executive Committee Members Chaudhry Wajid Ali, Khamis Saeed Butt, President Shahalam Market Board Khawaja Muhammad Amir, General Secretary Talal Butt, Vice President Rana Mujahid Islam, Central President New Shahalam Mareket Rana Nisar, Haji Muhammad Rafiq, Farrukh Iqbal, Mubasher Sheikh, S.M. Tariq and Muhammad Zafar also addressed the large business community gathering comprising industrialists and traders.

The PIAF Chairman said that almost all the leading economies were giving incentives to expedite economic activities in their respective countries but in Pakistan the people who are sitting at the helm of affairs were doing the otherwise at this point in time when almost all the businesses were facing a number of internal and external challenges.

PIAF Chairman urged the government to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply to the industry as unannounced prolonged load shedding was bringing economic activity to a grinding halt and to bring the industrial sector out of mire, the government would have to take measures on war footing to end the power outages.

He said that it was not possible to keep the industrial wheel on the run in the presence of such a huge load shedding. He said that the acute power shortage had crippled the entire industrial sector and the industrialists were unable to meet their local orders what to talk of export orders. He feared the economy would suffer badly in the coming days if industry of the country was not provided due support at this hour of need.

In his address, the LCCI President Irfan Qaiser Sheikh said that wlasy his first priority was to protect the interests of business community. He said that twice FIRs were registered against him under the charge of holding rally against awaful load shedding. He said that LCCI would extend every possible cooperation with the traders.
